As a leader, you will manage the development and execution of product food safety and quality programs to support the organization's goals of operational excellence, customer/client satisfaction, and preferred employer.
Responsible for monitoring and ongoing maintenance of the Food Safety Plan.
Must be able to identify deficiencies and implement new strategies.
Ensures all HACCP, GMPs, sanitation preventive controls, supply chain preventive controls, and all other prerequisite food safety standards are met according to FDA, FSIS, FSMA, and corporate requirements.
Must have extensive knowledge of the facilities process flow and engage personnel in all areas of food safety and quality within the flow.
Investigating customer complaints and any non-conformance issues by determining methods to resolve any quality or food safety compliance issues that may arise.
Manages Allergen and Preventive Controls Program, ensuring prevention of allergen cross contamination.
Ensures complete traceability of incoming raw materials and finished products while managing lot code tracking.
Ensures labeling programs are accurate in accordance with allergens, ingredients, and nutritional information.
Ensuring all food safety programs and quality-related corrective actions are implemented and effective as necessary to maintain the integrity of the SQF food safety and quality management system.
Assist in the maintenance of the site's environmental monitoring program, food safety, and quality management system.
Conduct internal audits, mock crises, and mock recalls.
Oversees all food safety audits conducted by government and third-party agencies.
Responds to customer safety and quality concerns as needed.
Record monitoring and maintenance.
Regular on-floor inspections/observations to ensure processes and procedures are being carried out correctly.
Manage chemical usage and storage.
Responsible for training and onboarding of the production team.
Assist the Regulatory Manager with updating and maintaining documents and working with clients on day-to-day requests.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate certified in SQF, HACCP, Food Defense.
However, we are willing to train a motivated candidate.
